...natural dyeing...
it is more than work, more than dyeing fabric...dyeing with plants seems to me such a meditative activity...growing, collecting and preparing dyeing materials, boiling or else processing the plants - leaves, flowers, fruits, berries...adding fabrics and waiting, waiting and rinsing and waiting again for the result...and the neverending story of colours waiting to be revealed...

...autumn colours...
...well, I am not a yelllow or orange lover I prefer muted colours, cold hues - blues, greys, pinks, violets... still sometimes I like these happy vivid colours too (in garden, in landscape and sometimes even in my jewellry - especially the autumn made collections) and I definitely like the colours I got by dyeing with dahlia and marigold flowers :-). Silk, wool and linen - all mordanted with alum - yellows come from marigolds, goldenorange and cinnamon come from dahlias - love them all even if I do not know what am I going to used them for I guess I just will have to learn to use these colors more ...

It was her who inspired me to try plant dyes again and thanks to whom I found about the posibbility to grow japanese indigo (so easy and rewarding is it!) and dye with it! Thanks, Eva! I love the colours I got and still have some more indigo to go!
